Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.Ltd. yeni DSLR fotoğraf makinesi Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1' i duyurdu. DSLR değiştirilebilir lensli dijital fotoğrafa makinesini duyurdu. 3 değişik renk seçeneğine sahip olan DMC-G1 "Micro Four Thirds" teknolojisine sahip. Siyah, Metalik kırmızı ve metalik mavi renk seçenekleri mevcut.
4/3 tip Live MOS sensöre sahip olan DMC-G1 12.1 megapiksel çözünürlüğe sahip. Kasım 2008 tarihinden itibaren satışa çıkması beklenen ürün 3,0" serbest hareketli ekrana sahip. Parlak hareketli ekran 1.440.000 piksel çözünürlüğe sahip olup canlı ön izleme özelliğini desteklemekte.
